SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
An operator with access rights to the matrix menu system is able to set the system time and date.
Setting the Time
1. Access the matrix menu so that it is displayed on a monitor - see Accessing the Matrix Menu System on page 43.
2. Select the Set time/date menu option.
3. Select Set Time . The Time menu is displayed.
4. The current set time is displayed with asterisk characters (**) under the hour value. These asterisk characters enable
the user to select each part of the time (hours, minutes and seconds) in turn so that they can be changed. Move the
joystick up and down to change the hours to the required value.
5. Move the joystick right so that the asterisk characters are under the minutes value. Move the joystick up and down to
change the minutes to the required value.
6. Repeat step 5 to set the seconds value.
7. Move the joystick to the right so that the asterisk are under the
OK parameter.
8. Move the joystick right again to confirm the time.

Note
It takes a few seconds to specify all of the time fields. Therefore, specify a time that is, say, 2 minutes in the future and
ensure that the asterisk characters are located under OK . Then, with reference to the clock that the time is being set
against, move the joystick right as that clock shows the time that has been specified.
Setting the Date
1. Access the matrix menu system that it is displayed on a monitor - see Accessing the Matrix Menu System on page 43.
2. Select the Set time/date menu option.
3. Select Set Date . The Date menu is displayed.
4. The current set date is displayed with asterisk characters (**) under the day. These asterisk characters enable the user
to select each part of the time (day, month and year) in turn so that they can be changed. Move the joystick up and down
to change the day as required.
5. Move the joystick right so that the asterisk characters are under the month. Move the joystick up and down to change
the month as required.
6. Repeat step 5 to set the year.
7. Move the joystick to the right so that the asterisk are under the
OK parameter.
8. Move the joystick right again to confirm the date.
