This means that:
the PD-TaD 62 has been recognised by the VLF HV generator,
the dissipation factor measurement is measured using the external resistance of the
PD-TaD 62.
4. If
R-TD external
is not displayed in the measurement mode window:
a. Check the ports on the VLF HV generator (port
PD Detector
) and the PD-TaD 62
(port
VLF Generator
).
b. If the ports are OK, contact your nearest BAUR representative
(http://www.baur.eu/baur-worldwide).
Note:
If the PD-TaD 62 is connected, but not recognised by the VLF HV generator, the
measurement results will be highly distorted.
5. In the bottom menu bar, select
Start
and press the rotary knob to confirm.
If only one phase is specified in the program for the dissipation factor measurement
template used, a prompt for high voltage release appears. This will take you to the next
step.
Measurement on several phases
If more than one phase has been specified in the program, a context menu for phase
selection opens. The phases on which the measurement has already been carried out
are indicated by means of a tick. If the measurement on a phase was cancelled, this is
indicated by a cross.
a. Turn the rotary knob to select a phase, and then press the rotary knob to confirm.
You have the option to repeat the measurement on a phase.
The prompt for connecting the selected phase appears on the display.
b. If the selected phase has not yet been connected, it must be connected.

6. Hold down the
key for at least one second.
The VLF HV generator switches to the

If you wish to cancel the high voltage release and return to the measurement mode
window, press the rotary knob.
