Behavior in hazardous situations or at accidents
Preventive mea-
sures

Always be prepared for accidents or fire!
m
Keep first-aid equipment (e.g. first-aid kits, blankets, etc.) and fire extinguishers readily
accessible.
m
Train personnel so that they can handle the accident signalling systems, first aid equip-
ment and life saving equipment.
And if something
does happen: re-
spond properly.
m
Stop operation of the device immediately with an EMERGENCY Stop.
m
Initiate first aid measures.
m
Evacuate persons from the danger zone.
m
Notify the responsible persons of the site.
m
Alarm medical personnel and/or the fire department.
m
Keep access routes clear for rescue vehicles.

Risk of fatal injury from electrical current!
There is a risk of electric shock if an electrically-conductive, fire-extinguishing agent
is used.
Therefore:

Use the following fire-extinguishing agent:
ABC powder / CO
2

Risk of fatal injury due to non-functioning safety equipment!
Safety equipment provides for the highest level of safety in a facility. Even if safety
equipment makes work processes more awkward, under no circumstances may they
be circumvented. Safety can only be ensured by intact safety equipment.
Therefore:

Before starting to work, check whether the safety equipment in good working order
and properly installed.
