S
elect the deviation in nT at which the alarm is
required to operate during a scan operation:
increments in units, tens and hundreds and thousands
of nT. When the field deviates by the level selected, the
ALARM message will be shown in the display for the
appropriate sensor, and the audio output rate will start
to increase. The audio tone varies from the value set to
about ten times this value.
Sensors
: 2
Select the number of sensors to be used: 1 or 2.
Reject
: 50 Hz
Select the local mains frequency of 50 or 60Hz to
minimise pick-up.
Save

Save the parameter settings shown in the display.
When all parameters have been set to the required option, select
Save
as an item and press
ENTER
, or simply press
ENTER
at any point. The display will indicate that the parameters have
been saved before reverting to the main menu.
Note:
Once set, parameters are saved for use during subsequent operations. Selecting
Delete data
from the main menu will clear the memory.
Note:
To leave the
Set parameters
menu without saving the changes, simply press
ESC
at
any time. The display will indicate that the parameters have been reset to the previous
settings.
Note:
The parameter settings can be reviewed at any time and are saved in memory,
until changed by the operator. However, if
System reset
is selected from the menu then the
settings will revert to the initial default values and will need to be reselected.
12. NMEA Mode
The items in the NMEA Mode main menu are as follows:

Run

Set parameters
•
Adjust gradiometer
•
System reset
The Run option now replaces the
Start survey
and
Start scan
options because there is no
distinction between the two in this mode. The
Output data
and
Delete data
items have been
removed because no data is stored on the data logger.
