Check that the contacts and seals are clean and in good condition.

Snap on the keypad in the direction of the arrow (see
) and push it upwards until the boreholes for the screws are over the
threaded sleeves.

Check that the keypad is mounted correctly.

Puss the keypad in the direction of the arrow (see
) until the boreholes on the keypad are positioned over the threaded holes
on the enclosure.
Caution!
Do not apply more than 0.452 NM or 4 in-lbs of torque when tightening the keypad
screws.
Note
After the exchange of the keyboard a cold boot
(see chapter
7.2 “Resetting the MC 9190ex-NI
”) must be performed.

The current drivers are installed on the unit and initialized automatically by the cold
boot.
