20.4.5 RS422 data bus termination
How to terminate the RS422 data bus
The last control unit on the RS422 data bus has to be terminated.
1. Select item
TERMINATION
in the Serial Communication menu by rotating the jog dial on the Master or the
↑
or
↓
keys on the
Remote Control (Selecting the Transmission Speed, page 143.). (menu 20-9)
2. Press the jog dial on the Master or the
ENTER
key on the Remote Control to set the termination to ON.
3. Press
EXIT
on the Remote Control or select
BACK
in the graphical display menu, rotating the jog dial to select and pressing to
confirm, to exit the GUI.

20.4.6 Diagnosis
How to interpret the diagnosis table
The diagnosis menu includes a list of I
2
C controlled IC’s. Seven locations are mentioned in the table with the respective address
(Hex code), followed by 3 plus signs. The significance of the plus signs is referred to the data communication between the I
2
C
controlled IC’s, in order write – read – acknowledge.
If one of the communication parameters is not available, then the respective plus sign is replaced by a minus sign. This info can be
useful for the technician if you call for technical assistance.
How to enter the diagnosis menu
1. Select item

C DIAGNOSIS
in the Service menu by rotating the jog dial on the Master or the
↑
or
↓
keys on the Remote Control.
2. Press the jog dial on the Master or the key ENTER on the Remote Control to confirm.
The Diagnosis table appears on-screen and in the graphical display. (menu 20-10)
3. Press
EXIT
on the Remote Control or select
BACK
in the graphical display menu, rotating the jog dial to select and pressing to
confirm, to exit the GUI.
