Air inlets and outlets
Air inlets and outlets
Image 2-6
The HDQ 2K40 projector has 3 air inlets (1 at the front and 2 at the bottom) and 2 air outlets (on the exhaust box on top of the
projector).
W
ARNING
:
When the projector is used in portrait mode, the air outlet is positioned towards the
fl
oor. That’s
why the
fl
oor covering can become very hot and must be resistant to a temperature of 90 °C (194 °F).
W
ARNING
:
The air
fi
lters of the projector must be cleaned or replaced on a regular basis (a "clean" booth
would be monthly-minimum). Neglecting this could result in disrupting the air
fl
ow inside the projector, caus-
ing overheating. Overheating may lead to the projector shutting down during operation. See "Cleaning the
front dust
lter", page 299 and "Cleaning the bottom dust
W
ARNING
:
The projector is fan cooled and must be installed with suf
fi
cient space around the air inlets, mini-
mum 20 cm (8”) to ensure suf
fi
cient air
fl
ow. Loose papers or other objects may not be nearer to the projector
than 10 cm (4") on any side.
The projector must always be installed in a manner which ensures unimpeded evacuation of the hot air from
its cooling system.
The projector should be used in an area where the ambient temperature, as measured at the projector air inlet,
does not 35°C (+95°F).
