8.1 Check cooling liquid level & cooling integrity
What should be done ?
The Light Source is liquid cooled. Running with a low liquid cooling level may damage the cooling circulation
pump. Moreover, the cooling capacity may be strongly reduced which can result in higher temperatures inside
the projector. These higher temperatures may cause an interruption of your film projection as the light source
can be switched off by the software as a precaution.
To avoid this problem, we strongly advise to check the cooling liquid level at least once every 12 months.
WARNING:
Due to the closed system, the cooling liquid level should not decrease, or only
decrease in small amounts over time. Dramatic loss of cooling liquid may indicate a potential
leakage in the system. Check the light source compartment on both the front and back ends of the
light source for visual signs of leakage (dried cooling liquid turns into a crystallized white powder).
Since servicing of the light source cooling system is not supported, if a leakage occurs, the cooling
pump is damaged or similar damage occurs to the cooling system, the entire light source will need
to be replaced.
How to check the liquid level?
1.
Remove the side cover on the light processor side,

2.
Look through at the cooling reservoir on the light source and check the liquid cooling level in the light source.

If the current liquid cooling level is somewhere between
120
and
600
, then no action should be taken.
If the current liquid cooling level is lower than
120
, start the refill procedure.
8.2 Cooling liquid refill
WARNING:
This procedure may only be performed by qualified technical service personnel.
CAUTION:
Be careful when refilling the reservoir. Make sure not to spill any cooling liquid on the
control boards located next to the reservoir. If any liquid is spilled, make sure to clean it up
immediately by using a dry cloth.
