Throw distance
The projector’s throw distance is the width of the
projected image times throw ratio. The throw distance is
measured from lens to screen.
(Y = X × Throw ratio).
The throw ratio varies depending on projector type and
the lens chosen. Consider this and find the throw
distance and/or the throw ratio in the product manual.
Projector centring
If the corners of the room are 90 degrees, use e.g. the
right side wall to find the brackets horizontal placement.
(Z = Q + Horizontal Lens Offset)
Example: The lens on the SIM2 LUMIS 3D-S has a
Horizontal Lens offset of 75.5 mm/2.97” to the centre
line of the projector. See product manual.
Note:
Observe that the projector lens centre must be
lined up with the centre line of the projection screen; not
the projector casing!
