Connect the mains voltage
Turn on the TV
- Turn on the TV, with

Set settings for VTR
- A VTR must be used for adjustment to take place.
- If the customer has a video tape recorder (VTR), then this can be used. If not,
another VTR has to be used. If the customer does not have a VTR: Select OPTIONS in
SETUP. Select CONNECTIONS. Set V.TAPE to V.TAPE. Remember to set V.TAPE to
NONE, when adjustment of the TV is fi nished, (not if the customer’s VTR has been
used).

Adjust to optimum focus of the vertical lines as viewed approx. 10 cm/4” from the
edge of the screen, by means of 04R485 (FOCUS) (see
➢
6).
Adjust geometry
- Use the Test-tape as in FOCUS adjustment to check the geometry.
- Remember to check the geometry in format 2 (16:9) as well. Press the
DISPLAY
button for approx. 3 seconds. Press
n
untill FORMAT is displayed then press
GO
.
Press

after replacement of main chassis but if so, the parameters in the following
sections can be adjusted.
These parameters are fi xed and should
not
be adjusted:

Must always be set to 20.
- Horizontal sensitivity (EHT)
Must always be set to 38.
The adjustments must be done fi rst in format 1 (4:3).
