Service mode, English 5.7
RADIO = playing radio.
RADIO ON (T*10) = shows how many times the radio has been turned on.
(T*10) = The numbers are stated in interval of 10 (e.g. 10 = 100). The number is
given in full tens.
The values are stored in the EEPROM. If faulty readings of the values in the
EEPROM occur all service counter values will be set to 0.
SOUND ADJUSTMENTS
The sound adjustment is only necessary when replacing one of the speaker units.
A value of 9 makes a damping of 0 dB, a value of 0 makes a damping of 9 dB.
If the left-hand treble speaker has been replaced:
Place the cursor on LEFT TREBLE, now the sound will alternate between the left-
hand and the right-hand speakers.
Adjust by means of
l
and
n
until the sound pressure level is identical from both
channels.
Press GO to store.
If the adjustment failed, place the cursor on the FACTORY SETTINGS line, now the
values will be restored to factory settings.
Now repeat the adjustment.
AVC = Automatic Volume Control, can be set to OFF when measuring in the audio
circuits.The AVC is set to ON when the TV has been turned off by means of the
mains switch.
TELETEXT ADJUSTMENTS
GROUP DELAY ON
Group delay errors in certain cable aerial systems can disturb the reception of
teletext. This is prevented by connecting a fi lter in series with the CVBS signal
applied to the teletext decoder.
PR are programme numbers, if all programme numbers are 0, no fi lter has been
connected on any programme number.
If you wish to connect a fi lter on a programme number, select a PR line by pressing
m
or
p
, then press
l
or
n
to select the desired programme number and fi nally
press GO .
Selecting “B&O LANGUAGE” makes it possible to choose among 6 different
teletext character sets.
0 English, German, Swedish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Slovak
1 Polish, German, Swedish, Italian, French, Croatian, Slovak, Rumanian
2 English, German, Swedish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Turkish
3 English, Russian, Estonian, Czech, German, Lithuanian, Ukrainian
4 English, German, Swedish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek
5 English, Arabic, French
6 English, Hebrew, Arabic
If languages 3 to 6 are choosen it is not possible to receive teletext level 2.5 d/r/c/s
characters.
If languages 3 to 6 are choosen it is not possible to make animation in the
programme list in teletext mode.
