4.1.5.2.4 USB interfaces
Panel PC devices are equipped with a USB 3.0 (Universal Serial Bus) host controller with several USB ports, of
which one USB 3.0 interface and one USB 2.0 interface are routed externally and freely available to the user.
Warning!
USB peripheral devices can be connected to the USB interfaces. Due to the variety of USB devices
available on the market, B&R cannot guarantee their functionality. The functionality of USB devices
available from B&R is ensured.
Caution!
Due to the general PC specification, this interface must be handled with the utmost care with regard
to EMC, cable routing, etc.
Driver support
A special driver is necessary to operate the USB 3.0 host controller with multiple USB interfaces. Drivers for
approved operating systems are available for download in the Downloads section of the B&R website (
