FUNCTION CODE DEFINITIONS
ENHANCED ANALOG SLAVE DEFINITION FUNCTION CODE (FC 215)
C - 4
I-E96-301B
®
S4
This specification identifies the action to be taken in the event
of a failure of the slave module (such as NVRAM, A/D refer-
ence, or ROM checksum errors). A zero indicates that the MFP
should cease operation while a one indicates the MFP should
continue operation.
S5
This specification identifies the dominant noise frequency to be
rejected during the analog-to-digital conversion operation (50
or 60 Hertz).
S6
This specification gives the length of the cable between the ter-
mination device and the slave module. This is used by the slave
to compensate the measured input value for effects of resis-
tance in the cable. This adjustment is similar to that for lead
wire resistance of the field input lead wires.

NOTES:
1. IMASI03 REQUIRES ONE NTAI06 TERMINATION UNIT OR TWO NIAI05 TERMINATION MODULES.
2. TOTAL CABLE RESISTANCE IS CALCULATED FROM THE TERMINATION DEVICE TO THE
THERMOCOUPLE. PUT THIS VALUE INTO FC 216 SPECIFICATION 10.
3. IN THIS EXAMPLE, INPUT CHANNELS 3 THROUGH 14 ARE NOT CONFIGURED.
