Highway The data communication path that links nodes together; 63 node capacity for Plant
Loop, or 250 node INFI-NET.
CTI Computer Serial Interface card.
Dipswitch A dual in-line package containing single-pole switches.
ESD Electrostatic Sensitive Devices; electronic components subject to damage or failure
when exposed to an electrostatic charge; require special handling.
INFI-NET Advanced data communication highway.
NIU Network Interface Unit; allows the OIS to communicate over the plant communication
loop.
OIC Operator Interface Console.
OIS Operator Interface Station.
PEP Power Entry Panel.
QNX Multitasking, multi-user, real-time operating system.
RAM Random Access Memory.
SCSI Small Computer System Interface.
SSD Static Susceptible Devices.
Tag An analog or digital process value defined in the OIS as a control and/or monitor point.
A tag is any piece of information from the communication highway.
Trend Data Values collected from INFI 90 OPEN modules used in plotting trends.
