Before starting calibration process check if the calibration plate has the same serial num-
ber of the scanner, the calibration plate serial number is on the back of the plate itself. If
not, do not calibrate the scanner and contact E.G.S. srl customer service.
•
Do not use a calibration plate coming from another scanner!
•
Use the calibration plate carefully, avoid to damages or scratches. When finished calibrat-
ing, always store the calibration plate in the protective box included in the original equip-
ment set.
•
If the scanner is not moved and kept at a constant temperature it can be calibrated once
every two weeks.
•
Calibration is always necessary when:
o
The first time the scanner is unpacked.
o
When the scanner is moved from a location to another one..
CAUTION
•
Use the calibration plate engaged on the long spacer only! All the other combinations, as
in the image below, cause a calibration failure
8.3.
ACQUISITION
Regardless of the type of model the acquisition operations follow the below steps:
1.
Properly place the model in the scanner. See the next paragraphs for detailed instruc-
tions.
2.
When the model is secured, double click on the
B9 Scan
icon in the desktop
.
3.
Click the arrow button "Scan"
in the top left corner of the monitor. A dialog box ap-
pears:
