LGD F200P2 Operating Instructions - Rev D

28/60
Please note that the alarm pins are low active and have zero voltage in case of an alarm.
5 Volt can be measured either when alarm is configured ‘off,’ or when desired the parameter
is within its limits, whereas 0 Volt indicates an alarm condition.
Older LGD F200P2 versions may not provide this functionality. For those versions, the item
in the mouse menu will not be activated.
2.14 Data logger software
All sensor parameter settings have to be carried out with the standard
Graphical User
Interface
(GUI) as described in the preceding chapters (particularly Ch. 2.12.5 and 2.13). The
GUI writes the parameter settings into the firmware memory of the sensor. The parameters
will then be used for measurements with the data logger software.
For measurement periods of more than one day, you can use the data logger software. It is designed for
long-term stability but doesn’t provide any graphical interaction.
When you startup this software the connection dialog appears. As described in Ch. 2.12.2, you should
specify on which serial port the sensor is connected to the computer.
After successfully establishing the connection, the dialog fields to parameterize the data logger, shown in
Figure 23
, must be filled. Please read the following instructions carefully, as you cannot change any
parameters during the runtime of this software.
Specify your file destination:
In this area, you must specify a valid file path which is
available during the complete measurement period. The
available memory space of this device must be large
enough to save the measurement data from the sensor.
You will need roughly 15 Megabytes per day.
Take a data point from every sensor:
To reduce the number of points in the save file, you can
define that not every measurement value from the
sensor is taken. The data logger software waits until the
desired duration is reached and then adds the next
concentration value to the buffer in the RAM.
Save all take points to file every:
To avoid a high number of file write cycles, you can
specify with this time interval how often the software
saves the measured data from the RAM to the file.
Optional comment:
This comment can help you to understand the meaning
of the measurement later on. The comment will be
stored in the header of the log file. If you don’t enter
anything, this line will remain empty.
