2.13 Relay alarm definition
You can change the definition of the relay alarm output or the linked value of this alarm by selecting
“Relay Alarms” shown in
Figure 22
from the mouse menu. By selecting a physical value with the mouse
arrow you link the alarm to it. For “off” and “Line locking,” you can then specify a minimal and maximal limit
for the desired value.
Then, additional controls below the alarm selector appear to define these limits. After all definitions, the
parameters can be saved to the sensor and stored automatically in EEPROM.
Alarm setting
Description
Off
The relay output is deactivated, no
definable limits.
Line locking
Shows, if the sensor is line locked and
providing a proper reading. This
setting has no min. or max. value to
define (see note).
Gas1
Concentration
Gas1 is the target gas reading (NH3,
HCl, CH4, CO2 …).
Gas2
Concentration
Gas2 is the auxiliary gas reading,
which is in normal case H
2
O. Gas2
channel is only available for two gas
sensor modules.
Power on
photodiode
The
power on photodiode
means the
normalized power, which is one, if the
power shows the factory default
value.
1 = 100%
Temp Cell
For heated systems, this alarm can be
used to protect a cold sensor cuvette
from hot humid gas to avoid
condensation. Only available for the
heated Sensor module (H-version).
Temp
Optihead or
Electronics
This is the temperature of
optoelectronic header (H-version) or
of the electronics Main PCB for (A-
version) to indicate whether the
temperature management of the
system and its integration is properly
working. Insufficient cooling or
ventilation can cause overheating and
lead to malfunction.

Please note that this general description may be subject to changes depending on single
product execution.
Note:
The LGD F200P2 module relies on the concept of line locking. Line locking can be achieved by
locking on the gas absorption line or on a reference gas line. To ensure a robust and stable gas
concentration reading the sensor must be line locked.
