Data acquisition & saving measurement data to a file
After successfully establishing communication, the sensor continuously sends the actual measurement
data to the interfacing software. The data is displayed in the graph as given in
Figure 17 . In order to store
all data collected during the acquisition period, select Menu\Save graph data in the pull down menu.
To avoid any loss of data, the interface also automatically writes the measured data to the computer every
10 minutes in an
ASCII file with “.TXT” file extension. This data can be located clicking on Help/Open log
data folder in the menu. The software generates the following path where the data is stored:
“ C:\ProgramData\Axetris LGD\Interface_Logg_Files ”. The file name contains date, time and sensor serial
number, e.g.: 20120417_152238___LGD_F200_NH3_32_A_1202210023.TXT. If the software is not able
to generate a file at that location, a dialog window will appear asking the user to specify an alternative
file location.
Additionally, the interface logs system status information to the computer (“.LGD” file extension). Sending
this file to the
Axetris support team helps to analyze the behavior of the sensor. The software
automatically generates the following path where the log data is stored: “ C:\ProgramData\Axetris
LGD\Interface_Logg_Files ”. If the software is not able to generate a file at that location, a dialog window
will appear asking the user to specify an alternative file location. The data can be located by clicking on
Help/Open log data folder in the menu.
