button after video appears. This usually produces a multi-tab window that
has controls to tune video color and brightness. Operate the controls until you are satisfied
with the image.
5. Click

to close the camera controls.

Preferences
window.
Adding a new video camera
Ensure that the Avaya Aura
®
AS 5300 Office Client can perform video telephony. Navigate to
Multimedia > Preferences
and then select the
Video
list item. If all of the controls appear dimmed
and non-operational, you may not have logged on. (Use the
Login
menu.) If you have logged on
(that is, if there is a green presence status icon), your service set does not include video. Contact
your service provider or system administrator.
If the video controls are enabled, ensure that the client has been configured to send and receive
video by verifying that the
Do not send or receive video on my calls
option is not selected. If
video was disabled, click a setting to configure video.
No Codecs video message
About this task
If you receive this message, the camera needs to be manually configured.
Use this procedure to configure the camera manually.
Procedure
1. Select
Multimedia
>
Preferences
and then select the
Video
list item.
2. Click the
Custom Setting
option and click
Configure
.
3. If video does not appear in the
Video Configuration
window, select your video camera from
the Video Driver list (it is probably Microsoft WDM).
4. After video appears, click
Format
. The window that appears varies from camera to camera
but look for a control for Pixel Depth/ Compression or Format. Choose either RGB 24 or I420
in this control and click
OK
.
5. If RGB 24 or I420 is not listed, the camera may not be usable by the Avaya Aura
®
AS 5300
Office Client. However, try examining other programs that came with the camera to enable
Video For Windows with this camera. Also, check with the camera vendor’s web site to
obtain the most recent drivers.
6. Click
OK
to close the
Video Configuration
window, and click
OK
again to close the
Preferences
window.
