1. For High reliability, the S8700 Server Complex consists of duplicated servers and UPS, dedicated
duplicated Ethernet switches supporting the link between the Servers and IPSI’s of the G650 Media
Gateways. The Standard reliability configuration consists of duplicated servers and UPS, the link
supporting the signaling traffic between the IPSI of the Media Gateway and the Servers are supported by
single Ethernet Switch.

2. S8700/G650 supports both Standard and High reliability configurations. Standard reliability assumes single
IPSI per media gateway. High reliability assumes duplicated IPSI per media gateway in active/standby
mode. In both of the configurations G650 houses redundant power supplies.
