Terms for free-of-charge repairs
1. When registering for repairs, have the product
’
s serial
number (IMEI number) ready. The serial number (IMEI
number) can be confirmed on the product main unit or a
sticker placed on the product packaging.
2. Repairs will be done free of charge, if the device
malfunctions under normal usage as per precautions
described in the instruction manual, etc. within the
warranty period.
3. In the following instances, repairs will be at cost even if
within the warranty period (or repair may not be
possible).

Usage was not correct as per the instruction manual.
②
Malfunction or damage from inappropriate repair or
modification.
③
Repairs done at a location not designated by the
Company, etc. as a qualified repair location.
④
Malfunction or damage due to negligent use or
accident. If traces of droppage, water exposure,
humidity, etc. are determinable.
⑤
Malfunction or damage from natural disaster
(earthquake, wind and flood damage, etc.), fire, salt
damage, abnormal voltage, etc.
4. Device might not be accepted for repairs depending on
the condition of damage.
5. The Company shall not be liable for damages or loss
resulting from malfunctioning of the product device.
6. The Company shall not be liable in the event of accident
resulting from connecting the product to a non-specified
device.
7. We are unable to respond to requests for onsite repairs
involving travel.
8. This warranty is valid only in Japan.
* This warranty honors requests for free-of-charge repair based on the time
period and conditions defined above. Accordingly, it does not restrict the
legal rights of the customer with regard to the issuer of the warranty and
other business operators.

Repair and Delivery Service
An after-sales service membership program on a monthly
basis called "Repair and Delivery Service" (monthly fee:
380 yen, tax excluded) is available for using your au cell
phone for a long time without worries. This service expands
coverage for many troubles including malfunction, theft and
loss. For details of this service, refer to au homepage or
contact Repair and Delivery Service Center.

You can apply for membership only at the time of
purchasing your au cell phone.
◎
Once you cancel the membership, you cannot reapply for it
until you purchase an au cell phone next time.
◎
Note that when changing the model or purchasing an extra
cell phone, this service only covers the most recently
purchased au cell phone.
◎
When an au cell phone is handed over to you or someone
else, the "Repair and Delivery Service" membership is also
handed over to the successor of the cell phone.
