Incoming power connection
WARNING – electrical shock!
Touching live parts can lead to life threat-
ening electrical shock. Check plugs and
power cables for damage before connect-
ing to the incoming power. Damaged parts
should not be used for electrical connec-
tion!
The Xenotest
®
440 is connected to an incoming voltage
of 230 V ± 10% (see technical data). The power supply
is made through a grounding plug (1P/N/PE), CEE (32 A,
3 pole, 6h). The electrical supply must be fused accord
-
ing to regulations.
Connecting and turning on the instrument (Fig. 36)
1. Before connecting to the incoming power, check
whether the values of the power supply network in
the room of operation matches the data on the rating
plate on the back of the instrument.
2. If the data for voltage (V) and maximum current (A) do
not match, the instrument should not be connected.
3. Insert the PE plug
2
into a properly grounded and
fused socket.
4. Make sure that no stress or strain is put on the power
cables.
5. Set the main switch
1
to the “
I
” position.
