Navigation within the interface and adjustment of available options is possible owing to a keypad. Unless
specified otherwise, the following rules apply to all menu operations.
pushbuttons are used in line with the specifications outlined in Section 3.1.5,
blinking messages on the display (except for the home screen) highlight the locations where a
decision must be taken by an operator /user (e.g. adjust parameter values or accept/reject an
operation to be carried out).
The starting view of the user interface is the home screen (see Section 3.4). Upon power up the Control
Unity Module performs a self-test and shows the home screen on the display (see Section 3.3). From the
home screen an operator can navigate to the following options:
detector menu (see Section 3.7), – after a short hit of the
button,
device menu (see Section 3.8), after the
button is depressed and held for at least 1 second,
test of the user interface (see Section 3.3), after the left and right arrow buttons
are
depressed simultaneously.
The HMI software automatically returns to the home screen after 10 seconds of inactivity, i.e. when no
button is depressed, unless the specific function needs a dialogue with the operator or any other operation
is required.
Detailed description of all components within the HMI interface is provided in subsequent sections.

Control unit start up, interface self-test
Directly after power up the control unit initiates a self-test of the interface hardware. The test includes

The self-test is completed after two seconds and the start message is shown on the display:
The message comprise the name of the control unit manufacturer, name of the device and current number
of the product revision
(‘XX’ stands for the revisions number). After subsequent two second the control
unit moves to presentation of the home screen (see Section 3.4). The foregoing self-test (i.e. the sequence
of aforementioned operations) can be initiated at any time from the keypad (see Section 3.1.5).
4
The sound signal may not be pronounced if the controller is configured for operation without an internal buzzer (see Section 3.4).
5
The revision number of the product is the number for the current release of the device, including hardware, firmware and attached
documentation.
