The operation is only possible when a detector is locked (see Section 3.4.4). If so, the Control Unit Module
can send a command to unlock (reset) the specific detector. Results of such an operation are described in
Section 3.9.
Prior to use the option please consult the documentation of the SmArtGas 4 detector to
learn about preconditions and the unlock (reset) procedure. Unskilled use of the option may
lead to improper, excessively low indications of the detector or event to the gas sensor
damage.
3.7.4
Tuning of the detector zero level

Makes it possible to tune the zero level for a detector
Upon selection of that option the control unit sends a command to the detector to automatically tune the
zero (reference) level of concentration. See details in the documentation for SmArtGas 4 detector.
Results of the command execution are outlined in Section 3.9.
3.7.5
Noise gate

Specification
Makes it possible to set up the threshold level for the noise gate of
a detector
Upon selection of that option the control unit reads content of the detector memory and the operator is
asked to specify the threshold for the noise gate (see details in the documentation for SmArtGas 4
detector):
The threshold level is specified as percentage of the full range, where the settings may vary from 0 to 5%.
After the settings are approved the new threshold value is stored into the detector memory.
Results of the operation are outlined in Section 3.9.
3.7.6
Warning /alarm thresholds

Specification
Makes it possible to set up thresholds for warnings and alarms for
the detector.
Upon selection of that option the Control Unit Module reads content of the detector memory and the
operator is asked to specify the warning and alarm thresholds (an example of the threshold level and unit of
measurements is shown in the picture below).
