If "START" key is gray in color and does not work, the zero-set reminder feature
(see page 18 "Zero-set Reminder Feature") may be functioning. Perform
zero-setting.

When a target temperature is set by the user, take a measurement once the prism
temperature ("PRESENT" on the upper right corner) is within ±0.5℃ of the
specified temperature ("TARGET" on the lower left corner) for accurate results.

After the step 4 on page 28 "Measuring Samples", when no target temperature is
specified by the user, or the prism temperature is already close to the target
temperature, proceed to the step 6.

"WAITING" is displayed while the Peltier is functioning, and "READING" is displayed
while the instrument is taking a measurement.
※
While "WAITING" and "WAIT TIME" are displayed, only "QUIT" and "Mode/History"
keys are enabled.

While "READING" is displayed, all keys are disabled.

Below are the factory default measurement settings:
SCALE #001, MODE-1, target temperature = 20.00℃, the number of continuous
measurements = 1, no wait time
Changing Measurement Modes and the Number of Continuous
Measurements
1.
Every time the
"Mode/History" key is
touched, the screen switches
between the mode and
history displays. Select the
mode display.
2.
Touch the mode window on
the lower left corner.
3.
Edit the measurement mode,
wait time, number of
continuous measurements,
and target temperature.

In order to disable the continuous measurement feature, touch "QUIT" that
temporarily appears with measurement results.

The tenkey pad changes to a
keyboard that contains only 1, 2,

measurement mode is being
edited.
