TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
No Power.
● Ensure the POE power adapter is firmly plugged in and standby LED (Red) is lit.
2.
No full tilt range.
● Level the mounting surface (Ensure the mounting surface has less than 30 degree of incline).
● Tilt axis is damaged.
3.
PTZ camera won’t respond to IR remote control.
● Ensure camera’s placement is within controller’s operating range; ensure at least one of camera’s
IR sensor has direct line of sight path to the controller.
● Avoid direct fluorescent light exposure to camera’s IR sensor.
● Incorrect camera IR ID and remote controller ID matching; ensure both camera and controller are
set to the same IR ID number.
4.
RS422 remote operation not functioning.
● Ensure camera ID is set to camera 1 and connected to RS422 port of controller (such as the
MK20RC and MK20RC Plus).
● Use full straight through CAT5/6 cable (8 wires, no crossover).
5.
Incorrect pan or tilt position.
● Pan/Tilt position is moved by external force; re-calibrate pant/tilt motors by power off/on.

Incorrect pan or tilt direction.
● Use IR controller to set desired pan/tilt direction (Normal or reverse).
7.
Image is upside-down.
● Use IR controller (In OSD menu) to flip the vertical image orientation.

No
Interface
video output with computer monitor or TV.
● Use a monitor or TV that supports 1080p30.
9.
Frame rate is only 25/30fps
● Use DIP 1 on the rear of the camera to select 60fps
10.
Moving horizontal scan line in video.
● Video frame rate not matching with display’s frame rate; set 1080p30 / 1080p60 for NTSC display
and 1080p25 / 1080p50 for PAL display.
● Shutter speed not matching; select shutter speed matches with display (i.e. 1/25 second for PAL,
1/120 second for NTSC).
11.
No video.
● Check iris and shutter settings.
● Ensure video Mute button is off.
12.
Image is black and white.
● Set Day/Night setting to color.
● Ambient light is too low (When Day/Night is set to auto).
13.
Recordings to SD card are always around 65MB.
● Despite settings found in the configuration menu when using the IE browser mode, recordings are
always made to SD cards and are 65MB in size.
