5.2___ CALIBRATION OF THE CHLORINE PROBE
5.2.1___ INITIAL CALIBRATION
This calibration procedure has to be carried out each time 20% or more of the water
contained in the swimming pool is replaced.
If the measuring cell is new, empty out the water contained in it and clean the copper electrode
thoroughly using the brush provided for this purpose
(page 29)
. Buff the surface coming into
contact with the water until it is shiny. ALLOW CHLORINATED WATER TO CIRCULATE FOR 4
HOURS.

A FIRST CALIBRATION HAS TO BE CARRIED OUT AFTER THE CELL HAS BEEN
WORKING WITH CHLORINATED WATER HAVING A CONTENT COMPRISED BETWEEN
0,7
PPM
AND
1.4 PPM
FOR AT LEAST
4 HOURS.
PROCEDURE
1.
Take a sample of chlorinated water from the tap
provided for this purpose and determine its residual
free chlorine value by means of a
DPD method.
2. Enter the calibration menu (
See Page 8
) and go to
the
CL1 CAL
function.
The indication
CL1
will appear on the display together
with
CAL
. The
CL2 LED
will flash.
Press the key
The chlorine value shown at that moment in time will
appear on the display together with the indication
DPD.
Use the and
keys to set the chlorine value
measured by means of the DPD method (e.g. 0.80 ppm).
Press the
key
The solenoid valve will be powered up and stop the flow
of water.
