AMBER COLLISION—Flashing illumination indicates that the port has
a valid link and that there are collisions on the port.
NO LIGHT—This indicates that the port is not functioning.
If you fail to get a link light at a particular port, one or more of the
following conditions may be occurring:
1.
Network device at other end is turned OFF (transmitter is inactive).
2.
Cable is damaged or broken, or attenuation is too high (i.e., too little
light is being received because the cable is too long).
3.
RX Port has failed.
4.
The cabling is incorrect. The RX Port is not connected to TX at the other
end, and you need to reverse the connectors.
