4. Throttle..........................................REDUCE TO IDLE
Engine should idle smoothly with Carb Heat ON.
5. Carburetor Heat.................................................OFF
6. Engine Speed......................................800–900 RPM,
CHECK for smooth idle.
7. Engine Instruments.......................................CHECK
all within normal flight limits

WARNING: If idle speed is too slow or the
engine runs roughly, the cause
must be determined and the
condition corrected to avoid the
potential for an in-flight stoppage.
