ASTM Standards
Certain FAA-accepted ASTM standards were referenced for
the design, construction, and continued airworthiness of
the Lightning LS-1. This aircraft complies with the
following standards:
 F2245 Standard Specification for Design and
Performance of a Light Sport Airplane
 F2279 Standard Practice for Quality Assurance in the
Manufacture of Fixed Wing Light Sport Aircraft
 F2295 Standard Practice for Continued Operational
Safety Monitoring of a Light Sport Aircraft
This handbook includes the material required to be
furnished to the pilot by ASTM Standard F2245 as well as
additional information provided by Arion Aircraft.
