3 General

The AQ-C215 capacitor bank protection IED has been specifically designed for the protection of

capacitor banks. It includes capacitor bank current unbalance and overload protection in addition to

standard overcurrent, earth fault and voltage protections.

The AQ-C215 capacitor bank protection IED is a member of the AQ-200 product line. The hardware

and software are modular: the hardware modules are assembled and configured according to the

application's I/O requirements, and the software determines the available functions. There are up to

three (3) option card slots available for additional I/O or communication cards for more comprehensive

monitoring and control applications. This manual describes the specific application of the AQ-

C215 capacitor bank protection IED. For other AQ-200 series products please consult their respective

device manuals.
