MAINTENANCE
Be certain, before climbing into the dock leveler pit
or doing any maintenance or repair under the dock
leveler, that: 1) THE MAINTENANCE STRUT AND LIP
LOCK ARE SECURELY IN PLACE and 2) the power is
disconnected and properly tagged or locked off.
Before servicing the dock leveler, read and follow the
Safety Practices and the Operation section of this
manual.
Place barricades on the dock floor around the dock
leveler pit and in the driveway in front of the pit while
installing, maintaining or repairing the dock leveler.
Check all labels every 90 days. See parts list for location
and part numbers. Replace if required.
Every 90 days inspect dock bumpers. Four inches (4") of
bumper protection is required. Worn, torn, loose or missing
bumpers must be replaced.
HYDRAuLIC FLuID LEVEL
The hydraulic fluid level should be checked when the
leveler is resting on the maintenance post with the lip
pendant. Reference Figure 28.

1. Mobil Aero HFA (49011)
2. Exxon univis Grade JI3
3. Texaco Aircraft Oil #1554
4. u.s. Oil Co.,Inc. #ZFI-5606 (Low Temp.)
