When the threshold of the maintenance intervals
is exceeded, an icon with a spanner is shown.
VIEW ALARMS
If a serious failure which may jeopardise the in-
tegrity of the vehicle or the rider is detected, an
icon indicating the cause is displayed on the area
where the odometer is generally shown.
The alarms are subdivided into two groups ac-
cording to their priority:
•
High priority: overheating, Control unit
errors, Instrument panel errors;
•
Low priority: Turn indicators.
The turn indicator failure signal is displayed only
when the failure affects all the indicator LEDs.
If there are more than one alarm of equal priority
simultaneously, the corresponding icons are dis-
played alternately.
High priority alarms inhibit the displaying of low
priority alarms.
Brief warning light and SERVICE icon lighting do
not signal malfunctioning
FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Speedometer
The speed value is displayed is a [nnn] format and with the indication of the unit of measurement, [km/
h] or [mph]. The accuracy must be better than that set by the European Directive 2000/7/CE, dated
20/03/00, and b0% and +2%.
The measurement is carried out by reading the number of impulses between readings in the Denso
control unit. There are 20 impulses per revolution. The pinion has 15 teeth while the crown has 44, the
wheel circumference is 1926 mm (75.83 in).
Due to homologation requirements, the value indicated on the instrument panel must be 6% higher than
the one read by the control unit.
Rpm indicator
The engine revs are indicated on the instrument panel left dial.
Accuracy: 0/+5% with respect to the received signal.
The instrument panel will have to filter the signal so that the pointer does not oscillates, mainly at idle
speed.
Maximum pointer oscillation at idle speed: +/- 1° with respect to the received signal.
