valve cotters.

To fix the valve cotters on the valve stem, slightly hit the valve head with a soft-head mallet.

HITTING THE VALVE HEAD EXCESSIVELY MAY DAMAGE THE VALVE.

Installing the overhead camshaft

CAUTION

BEFORE FITTING THE BEARING, APPLY ENGINE OIL.
MOUNT IT SO THAT THE OIL SEAL FACES (a) THE CAM-
SHAFT.
LUBRICATE THE OIL SEAL BEFORE INSTALLING IT.
APPLY AN EMULSIFIED SOLUTION ON THE OIL SEAL
OUTSIDE DIAMETER TO FACILITATE INSERTION.
