The keys are configured with the following functions:
LED (red and
green)
Displays status of the device
Move the cursors to a certain position on the display.
ENTER / Start
Confirm an entry.
Start a chosen isolation protocol or an option of the
tool list.
ESC / Stop
Abort an isolation protocol in progress.
Return to superordinate menu level.
3.3 Functional principle
Lysis
In dependence on the used starting material or type of starting material, the
lysis is processed inside of the device or has to be performed manually outside
of the device.
The lysis routine for each starting material is described in detail in the manual of
the extraction kit.

Lysis of the starting material
The MAG-Suspension, which contains the magnetic particles, is added to the
starting material. Thereby it is really important, that the MAG – Suspension is
homogenized well (by using a vortexer) to get the right amount of magnetic
particles inside the sample.
Sample processing
After starting the isolation protocol, the InnuPure C12 is taking the provided
MFR-Tips from the accordant row of the sample tray.
The mixture of the lysed sample and the MAG-Suspension is homogenized by
up and down pipetting, followed by the transfer of the solution to the Binding
Buffer.
