equipment must be placed at least 2 meters away from the water. Connect the tube that arrives from the pump to the water inlet of the UVC lamp installed in the filter cover.
The water leaving the filter must be conveyed via a pipe / cascade to the pond. Once all connections have been made, turn on the pump and make sure there are no leaks in
the system. Only then switch the UVC lamp on. Through the transparent peephole on the filter cover (FIG.1 N ° 24) the operation of the UVC lamp can be easily checked at any
time. If the plug is not connected, a blue light can not be seen from the transparent peephole, which means that the lamp is not working. On the filter cover there is also a
thermometer that allows you to monitor the water temperature of the pond (FIG.1 N ° 2).
MAINTENANCE
The particles of suspended dirt settle over time in the filter sponges. Bacterial flocculations also contribute to the formation of sewage sludge. These deposits reduce the flow of
water and therefore the effectiveness of the filter. For this reason the filter sponges must be cleaned regularly, approximately every 1-2 weeks. Signals that the sponges must be
cleaned can be a reduction in the flow, the exit of dirty water from the filter or when the red indicator placed in the function selector (FIG.1 N°1) rises. To proceed with cleaning it
is necessary to switch off the UVC lamp first and then the pump and remove their plugs from the electrical sockets. Disconnect the water supply hose. Then open the filter cover,
remove the sponges and rinse them carefully under running water. Do not use detergents or soaps to carry out this cleaning operation! To keep alive the bacterial component
present in the filter, it is advised not to clean all the sponges at the same time but to keep a part of them soaking in the water of the pond to be able to reinsert it in the filter
once cleaned. If necessary, clean the basket and reassemble everything as described in the installation steps. Only then switch the pump back on and then the UVC sterilizer.
UVC LAMP MAINTENANCE:
Proceed as described above by switching off the lamp and pump and disconnecting the tubes. Open the lid and take out the UVC sterilizer. To remove the quartz tube, the cover
of the UVC lamp must be turned anticlockwise. Gently pull out the quartz tube and gently clean the quartz tube EXCLUSIVELY on the outside with a non-aggressive glass cleaner
and rinse it thoroughly in plenty of running water EXCLUSIVELY on the outside before reassembling it in reverse order of the points described above. REPLACING THE UVC BULB:
every 6-12 months (depending on the use as the UVC lamp guarantees good performance for a maximum of 6000 hours of operation) the UVC lamp must be replaced. To do
this proceed as above by extracting the light bulb gently from the quartz tube and replacing it with a new one. Use only original spare parts.
