Selecting advanced quiz options
Marking a quiz as “finished”
In order to provide the options described above, the AlphaQuiz
SmartApplet must know when a quiz is in progress. This also
provides a further tool to protect the test-taking procedure. If, when
designing a quiz, you specify that the quiz must be marked “finished,”
student answers cannot be changed after the quiz is completed. This
is useful in the following circumstances:

If time is up and students must turn in the quiz, but some
students have left certain questions unanswered, marking the
quiz finished prevents these students from declaring later that
their unanswered questions were unintentional.
•
If a student hands in a quiz, leaves the classroom, and tries to
re-enter the quiz later to fill in or change answers, marking a quiz
as “finished” prevents these changes.
You can set this limit by checking the Require students to mark quiz
as finished box in the Advanced window of the Quiz Options screen.
