I have a quiz installed on some AlphaSmart devices, and
student responses that I have not yet retrieved, but I have
accidentally erased the quiz document from my computer.
Now I am unable to retrieve, or even remove, the responses.
In order to recover the responses, use
send
on the devices from
within the quiz to create a copy of the quiz and responses in an
AlphaWord file, or you can directly print responses. Once you have
recovered all responses, use QuizManager’s Delete Quiz function to
clear the quiz from the AlphaSmart devices. You can then create a
new version of the quiz for future use.
I have a quiz installed on some AlphaSmart devices, but I

computer and I don’t remember the Admin Password. Now I
am unable to remove the quiz from the AlphaSmart devices.
If there are any responses for other quizzes stored on the AlphaSmart
devices, use QuizManager to retrieve them. Then, print any response
sets for the “lost” quiz on each AlphaSmart device, or save each one
as an AlphaWord file and transfer it to your computer for archival
(see page 67 for information on printing and saving to an AlphaWord
file). You can now delete and reinstall AlphaQuiz using AlphaSmart
Manager; this will remove all quizzes, including the “lost” one.
Follow these steps:
• On the SmartApplets tab in AlphaSmart Manager, select all the
SmartApplets you want to keep on the devices
except for
AlphaQuiz and click Add. Check the Delete SmartApplets that are
not in the Install List checkbox. Click the Send List tab and click
Send.
• When AlphaSmart Manager finishes sending the SmartApplets to
the devices, open a new send list by choosing File > New Send
List. On the SmartApplets tab, select AlphaQuiz and click Add,
and remove the check from the Delete SmartApplets checkbox.
Click the Send List tab and click Send.
