3-4 Applying Power
To connect DC power:
1. Secure the DC power wires to the terminal block screws. Follow
the markings on terminal blocks and labels on terminal for
proper connections.
2. Secure the Earth Ground wire to the appropriate terminal block
screw.
3. Apply 24V dc power to the terminal.
ATTENTION
!
For DC powered units, use a Class 2/SELV (Safety
Extra-Low Voltage) isolated and ungrounded
power supply as input power to the PanelView
Plus terminal. This power source provides
protection so that under nominal and single fault
conditions, the voltage between conductors and
between conductors and Functional
Earth/Protective Earth does not exceed a safe
value.
ATTENTION
!
Explosion Hazard - Do not connect or disconnect
equipment while circuit is live unless area is known
to be non-hazardous.
Disconnect all power before installing or replacing
components. Failure to disconnect power may result
in electrical shock and/or damage to the terminal.
