Installing a CompactFlash or microdrive in another PC (1747-OCF only)
Requirements
You need a:
•
PC into which to install the CompactFlash or microdrive
•
IDE ribbon cable to CompactFlash adapter (see www.tapr.org for
information on obtaining an adapter)
Steps
1. On the PC, change the BIOS setup to recognize two hard drives (the
CompactFlash or microdrive will be the second drive). Either set the
BIOS to autoconfigure the second drive, or enter the drive information.
Consult your drive documentation or web site for other sizes or the latest
product information.
If the PC has a setting for IDE controller speed, set it for slow or
medium.
