1.1 SCRM
(Scrambler)
When using this function, the transmission will be encrypted. Only radios on the distant party with
the same settings can receive and decode the audio signal properly. Other radios on the channel
cannot understand the signal. To set the radio to encryption:

Press [MENU]

is displayed on the screen. Next line remains blank.

θressΝ[ί]Ν,Ν“SσRε”Ν
is shown on the screen, actual status is shown on next line :
On or Off. Repeat operation to change status.

Scrambler setting for Frequency ranges A/B can be used separately. This is useful under
Channel Mode.
1.2 DW Dual Watch Mode
Turn on DW, two frequencies will be shown on the screen (A/B). For transmission, only the
frequency shown on the main screen can be used.

Press [MENU] -
“εenu”
is shown on the screen, while next line initially remains blank.
