Troubleshooting Hints
Problem Solution
No reaction when power-on
The battery pack has been exhausted. Please change a new battery or recharge the
battery.
The battery pack may be not installed correctly. Please install it again.
The contacts may be corroded or dirty. Clean all contacts carefully!
Unable to talk with other
members in the same
group
Please check the frequency and CTCSS/ DCS you use. The settings must be the
same for all other members in the same group.
The distance between you and other group members may be too far. Please check if
you are in the range of other group transceivers.
Talking distance is short
Make sure the antenna screw is tight and contacts the radio well.
Make sure that you are using the original antenna from the manufacturer.
Check squelch level. Reduce the level if set to a too high level. Keep level as low as
necessary. In most cases 1-3 should be ok.
Other (not from group
members) sound heard on
your channels.
Change the frequency
Please change your CTCSS/DCS code number on all radios used within your group.
The battery can only be
used for short time after
each charging
The life cycle time of the battery is over, please replace by new battery,
If the battery does not work long enough after charging
People receive your Voice is
low or broken
Check if the MIC connector is clean and that nothing has entered the mic socket hole.
Water inlet
Take out the battery at once when water has entered and dump the
water. Carefully use a hair dryer or heater to dry it. Make sure to send the
radio immediately to a service station to check and prevent further corrosion inside
