4. Auxiliary Functions
4.1 VFO
ΥVariable Frequency Oscillator, also known as “Frequency Mode)
In VFO mode, press [UP] or [DOWN] to tune the desired frequency in the programmed
steps or directly type in the frequency needed by keypad.
4.2 Channel Storing
There are 100 memory location to store frequencies with channel numbers from
01-100
One special channel is reserved for the
“
Emergency Channel
”
with number 01.
To save a frequency as a channel, do following :
1. In VFO mode, choose the desired frequency and select CTCSS or DCS.
2. Press [MR] for 2 seconds , LCD shows channel number 01-100 (flashing).
3. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select one channel number between 01-100.
4. Press [MENU] again to store the frequency..
5. You can now repeat the procedure for other frequencies you want to store as channels.
Note:
User can store 100 channels (maximum), when a radio is in the single Frequency mode.
When using dual band function, user can store 50 channels (maximum) for each Frequency A and
Frequency B group.
