Specifies the authentication protocol and the authentication password.
md5
: HMAC-MD5 is used for the authentication protocol.
sha
: HMAC-SHA1 is used for the authentication protocol.
priv des <privacy password>
Specifies the encryption protocol and the encryption password.
1. Default value when this parameter is omitted:
If
auth
and subsequent parameter options are omitted, an authentication protocol will not
be used.
If
priv des
and subsequent parameter options are omitted, an encryption protocol will
not be used.

For <authentication password> and <privacy password> , set a character string
consisting of 8 to 32 characters, enclosed in double quotation marks. Specifiable
characters are alphanumeric characters and special characters. To enter a character string
that does not include any special characters such as a space, you do not need to enclose
the character string in double quotation marks ("). For details, see Any character string
in Specifiable values for parameters .
