To avoid an imbalance, the cutting units and
the fastening bolts must only be replaced as
a set.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Always pull the mains plug before
carrying out maintenance and care!
Always wear work gloves when car-
rying out maintenance and care on
the cutting tools!
Non-balanced cutting blades cause
serious vibrations and damage the
mower.
Regularly check the grass catcher system for
correct function and wear.
After mowing, thoroughly clean the mower
with a hand broom or a cloth. Dirt and cuttings
left on the underside of the mower can impair
its proper function.
Do not hose down the unit with water! Water
can damage the switch/plug combination and
the electric motor.
Regularly check the cutter blade for damage.
Have the blunt or damaged cutter blades
sharpened or replaced only at an AL-KO ser-
vice centre or authorized specialist firm. Re-
sharpened cutter blades must be balanced.
Tightening torque of the blade screw 15 Nm
+5
Ensure that all nuts, bolts and screws are
firmly tightened and that the mower is in a
safe condition for operation.
Observe that on devices with multiple cutting
blades, the movement of one cutting blade
can lead to the rotation of the remaining bla-
des.
Observe when adjusting the machine that no
body parts can be jammed between the cut-
ting blades and fixed parts of the unit.
Allow the motor to cool before turning off the
unit.
Observe that the cutting blade can still be mo-
ved even when the voltage supply is switched
off.
Only use original replacement parts and ac-
cessories.
CAUTION!
Cutting blade and motor shaft may not
be aligned if damaged!
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
After the blade screw has been loosened
five times, it must be replaced with an ori-
ginal blade screw!
ADVICE
After maintenance work on isolation
parts (e.g. exchange of the cutting bla-
des), and isolation protection test must
be performed according to guideline
VDE 701.
Professional inspection is necessary:
After running onto an obstacle
At immediate standstill of the motor
When the cutting blade is bent
When the motor shaft is bent
