Remove all foreign objects from the lawn prior
to mowing
Keep others away from dangerous areas.
Use the mower only if visibility is good
Guide the machine at walking pace.
Mow only with a sharp cutting blade
Do not mow over obstacles (e.g. branches,
roots of trees).
Mow only across slopes. Do not use the mo-
wer up or down slopes and not on slopes with
more than a slant of 20 degrees.
Added care must be taken on slopes when
changing direction
Tips for moİing
Start mowing as close to the socket as pos-
sible.
Always keep the extension cable on the pre-
viously mowed lawn area.
Constant cutting height 3-5 cm, do not cut
more than half the height of the lawn.
Do not overload the lawn mower! If the motor
speed is greatly reduced due to long, heavy
grass, raise the cutting height and mow se-
veral times.
Mow in the morning or late afternoon to pro-
tect the freshly cut lawn from drying out.
Mow the lawn twice per week during the
strong growing phases. Mow less during pe-
riods of less rain.
Mulching İith the mulching kit (option)
With mulching, the cuttings are not collected and
remain on the grass. The mulch protects the
ground from drying out and provides it with nutri-
ents. The best results are achieved by regular cut-
ting of approx. 2 cm. Only young grass with soft
blades will decompose quickly.
Height of grass before mulching: maximum 8
cm
Height of grass after mulching: minimum 4 cm
ADVICE
Adapt your walking speed to the mul-
ching and do not go too quickly.
Utilising the mulch kit
CAUTION!
Risk of injury ıue to rotating parts!
Remove or replace the mulch kit only
while the motor is switched off and the
cutting blade has stopped.
1. Remove the grass catcher (3)
2. Lift up the baffle plate and insert the mulch kit
into the discharge chute. (4a)
Mulch kit must audibly engage.
ADVICE
If the mulch kit does not engage, the
mulch kit and cutting blade can be dama-
ged.
Removing the mulch kit
1. Lift the baffle plate. (4b-1)
2. Release the locking on the mulch kit. (4b-2)
3. Pull out the mulch kit.
Wheel ırive (option)
Aıjusting the Boİıen cable
If the wheel drive can no longer be switched on or
off while the motor is running, the corresponding
Bowden cable must be readjusted.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Only adjust the Bowden cable when the
motor is switched off.
1. Turn the adjustment part on the Bowden cable
in the direction of the arrow.
2. To check the adjustment, start the motor and
switch on the wheel drive.
3. If the wheel drive still does not function, bring
the lawn mower to a service centre or an aut-
horized specialist firm.
Oiling the ırive pinion
Oil the drive pinion on the drive shaft from
time to time with spray oil.
ADVICE
The transmission of the wheel drive is
maintenance-free.
STORAGE
Always store the unit with the mains plug pul-
led.
Fold the upper handle bar to save space du-
ring storage.
Store the mower in a dry place and inacces-
sible to children and unauthorized persons.
REPAIRS
Repairs may only be carried out at AL-KO
service centres or authorized specialist firms.
