Humidity Controls
Humidity controls consist of humidistats and de-humidistats, and high humidity limits.
Humidistats
Humidification Humidistats turn an output on when the humidity is too low. Humidification is used to operate humidifiers.
De-Humidification Humidistats turn an output on or set a VSC open position when the humidity is too high.
Dehumidification can operate ventilation fans, VSC (vents, shades or curtains) and more to reduce humidity.
Humidity Limits
Hi-Humidity Limits turn an output off when the humidity is too high. Turn evaporative cooler water valves off if the humidity
is too high.
Control Settings
Zone#: The zone that the humidistat will take sensor readings from.
Day/Night Set Points: humidity values for the day and night which will activate the humidistat.
Dead-band: Humidity drop from set-point before turning on humidification or turning off de-humidification.
Output#: Enter an output number to turn on (or off if limit control) when the humidistat is active.
VSC#: Enter a VSC channel # to send the target positions to when the humidistat is active.
Dead-Band
The “Dead-band” setting in determines how tightly a humidistat tries to keep the humidity to the set-point. It is necessary to
have some dead-band: generally 3-10%RH.
