2.18.1.1 Faults and solutions of clutch
Symptom

1. The clutch slips.
1.The friction plate and pressure plate
has oil stains;
2.The friction plate has too many
abrasions or is burn down;
3.The pressure of butterfly spring
reduces;
4.The flee travel of pedal is too small or
absent;
5. The driven disk of clutch has severe
distortion.
1.Clean it with gasoline, find out the
reason and eliminate the fault.
2. Replace the friction plate.
3. Replace the butterfly spring.
4. Readjust the free travel of pedal
as required.
5. Replace the driven disk of clutch.

clutch cannot
separate thoroughly and the
gear engagement has noise.
1.The free travel of pedal is too large,
but the operating travel is too small;

worn or broken.

clutch fault solutions.
2. Replace or repair it.
2. There is spontaneous
out-of-gear.
1. The locating slot of fork shaft is worn
severely.
2. The locking spring of fork shaft has
insufficient pressure.
3. The spline of shift sleeve is worn.
1. Replace the fork shaft.
2. Adjust or replace the locking
spring.
3. Replace the shift sleeve.
3. The gear case has
noise or beat.
1. The gear is worn severely, the tooth face
is peeled or the gear teeth is broken.
2. The bearing is worn severely or
damaged.
3. The lubrication oil is insufficient or fails to
conform to the relevant specification.
1. Replace the gear.
2. Replace the bearing.
3. Fill or replace the lubrication
oil.
