4. Activate Hot Plug by selecting the Plugin radio button.
Click on the
Refresh
button to update the screen and the “soft” LEDs will indicate the status, e.g.
Plugged In
.
Note:
At any time you can click on the
Refresh
button to update the status of the controls and display in the
Setup
tab. You can also configure the W2642A to periodically update the controls and display by enabling
the
Auto Refresh
check box.
LED definitions are as follows:
o
Plugged In indicates that as of the last Refresh, the HPD signal was active
o
IRQ Pulse indicates that prior to the last Refresh a valid IRQ pulse was received
o
HPD Changed indicates that prior to the last Refresh there was at least one change in the level of
the HPD signal
The IRQ Pulse and HPD Changed indications are cleared every time you click Refresh. This allows you to
leave the test equipment unattended for an indeterminate period of time without missing the fact that an IRQ
or HPD change occurred.
5. Configure W2642A with valid EDID and DPCD data.
If the default EDID and DCPD are not suitable you can create your own EDID and DCPD files and then load
them into the W2642A GUI and apply them to the W2642A Rx port. Several sample EDID and DPCD files
are included with the GUI. These files can be edited using a text editor or changed in the GUI and resaved
under different names.
