Remove power to the Model V24CT/V26CT by pressing the power switch to OFF and 
disconnecting the AC power cord.

At the rear of the Model V24CT/V26CT, open the battery door (swings downward).

Lift up on the battery retaining switch and the battery pops out.

Repeat procedure for the second battery if necessary.
